Terms
Last updated 21 October 2026. By using Payday you agree to these terms.
Short version: Payday is a free, personal budgeting tool. It shows you what you spend and helps you plan the rest of your salary. It does not hold your money, it cannot move money from your account, and it is not financial advice.
What the app is
Payday lets you log purchases, set a salary day, a monthly salary and a budget, and see how much you have spent and how much is left until your next payday. You can also connect a bank account to bring your purchases in automatically and split what is left of your salary into savings, emergency fund, fuel and free to spend.
The app is provided for personal, non-commercial use.
Your data and your device
The numbers you enter are kept in your own browser on your own device. That means you are responsible for them: if you clear the site's data, use another browser, another phone or private/incognito mode, your history is gone and it cannot be restored from our side. Keep note of anything you cannot afford to lose.
The app gives no guarantees about accuracy. Totals depend on what you enter and on the information your bank returns, and bank records can be delayed, incomplete or wrong.
Bank connection
Connecting a bank is optional. You approve the connection with BankID through Enable Banking, a licensed account information provider under the EU Payment Services Directive (PSD2), and your bank credentials are never entered into or stored by Payday.
Only connect accounts you own or are entitled to access. Access is read-only: Payday can see incoming and outgoing payments, but can never start a payment, a transfer or a withdrawal. You can end the connection at any time with the disconnect button in the app, or by withdrawing your consent with your bank or through Enable Banking.
Your use of your bank's services and of Enable Banking is also covered by their own terms, which apply alongside these.
Not financial advice
Category suggestions, savings goals, buffer targets, daily limits and tips in the app are simple calculations on the numbers you give. They are general information, not personal financial, investment, insurance, tax or credit advice, and they do not consider your full situation. Decisions you make based on them are yours.
No warranty and liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. The app may change, be interrupted or be discontinued. To the extent permitted by law, the person offering the app is not liable for indirect or consequent losses, including lost data, arising from your use of it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
These terms may be updated; the date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If a change matters to you, you can stop using the app and clear your data.
